Mein "älteres" XP-System ist noch als "Sata as IDE" konfiguriert. Bis jetzt ohne fühlbare Nachteile
Nun will ich am eSATA-out ein externes Sicherungsgerät anschliessen und lese dass für Hotpluging das System auf AHCI eingestellt sein muss.
Auch jetzt ist ein eSATA-Gerät dran. Das muss ich aber vor dem Rechnerstart einschalten,dass es erkannt wird
Was bringt mir AHCI ? (nebst NCQ und evt eSATA-Hotpluging)
Wieviel "Arbeit" wird die Umstellung bringen? "Lohnt" es sich überhaupt (noch) ?

Das neue (Edius-6) System mit Win-7 64bit ist bereits AHCI
